Young Adults Weekend in Nazareth

The group of young adults from the St. James Vicariate communities came together in Nazareth on 19–20 June 2026 for a special weekend dedicated to strengthening their faith and building friendships within the Vicariate. Many participants joined for the first time.

The gathering began on Friday evening with the arrival of participants, followed by a meeting that provided an opportunity for everyone to get to know one another. Fr. Piotr gave an introduction on the World Youth Day next year, encouraging the participants to consider to take part in it. After dinner, the group enjoyed a variety of evening activities designed to encourage fellowship and community spirit. The day concluded with a time of night prayer in the beautiful chapel of our Guesthouse Betharram , entrusting the weekend to the Lord.

Saturday began with morning prayer and breakfast, setting a spiritual tone for the day. Participants then visited the Basilica of the Annunciation. A highlight of the weekend was the celebration of Holy Mass in the Basilica, where the young adults gathered in prayer and thanksgiving. Sharing the Eucharist in Nazareth, the city of the Annunciation, was a meaningful and memorable experience for all.

Following lunch, the participants took part in a discussion meeting, engaging in open conversations about faith, community life, and the challenges and opportunities facing young Christians today. The weekend concluded with a visit to Bishop Rafik at the Vicariate House of the Latin Patriarchate, where the group had the opportunity to meet with him, listen to his words of encouragement, ask questions, and share their experiences.

The weekend was a joyful occasion that strengthened the bonds between young adults from different communities and renewed their commitment to living their faith. We thank all those who participated, organized, and supported this gathering, and we look forward to future opportunities to grow together in faith and friendship.
