Panel Discussion in Moreshet Avraham Synagogue

On Sunday, November 30, 2025, a special meeting took place at the synagogue Moreshet Avraham in Jerusalem to mark the 60th anniversary of Nostra Aetate, the historic declaration of the Second Vatican Council that opened a new chapter in relations between the Catholic Church and the Jewish people.

The evening’s theme was: “Jewish-Christian Relations Worldwide and in the Holy Land – A Look Back and a Vision for the Future.”

The speakers:

Rabbi David Rosen, a prominent figure in interfaith dialogue and Jewish-Christian relations.

Fr. Piotr Zelazko, Vicar for Hebrew-speaking Catholics in Israel.

The discussion reflected on the profound impact of Nostra Aetate over the past six decades, its role in fostering dialogue and mutual respect, and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for Jewish-Christian relations both globally and locally.

The event was hosted by: Rabbi Amirit and Rabbi David.

This gathering was an opportunity to reaffirm the commitment to dialogue and friendship between communities, inspired by the vision of Nostra Aetate and the shared responsibility to promote peace and understanding.
