Pope in Britain: Meeting with religious representatives
Today, Sunday, September 19, Pope Benedict ends his visit to Britain. Among the most important moments were those during which he met with the head of the Anglican Church and the representatives of the religions in London.

The Pope visited the head of the Anglican Church, Archbishop Rowan Williams on Friday, September 17. The two leaders emphasized the importance of the dialogue between the two Churches. The Anglican Archbishop cited a friend of Cardinal Newman, who said, when Newman left the Anglican Church to become a Catholic: "what is unholy on both sides separates us".
That same day, the Pope met with representatives of the different religions which coexist in Britain: Jews, Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs. The Holy Father stressed that the Church continues to see ways that promote collaboration with the believers from other religions in order to improve the state of the world.
