Celebration of the Epiphany in the Russian Speaking Community

The Russian speaking community in Haifa marked the Solemnity of the Epiphany with a festive Mass and a heartfelt Christmas Mystery play prepared by the faithful.

On January 6, the Russian speaking community in Haifa gathered to celebrate the Epiphany of the Lord. During the festive Mass, the faithful recalled the journey of the Magi, who, guided by the star, recognized in the Child of Bethlehem the true and living God.

After the liturgy, members of the community presented a Christmas Mystery play. The performance retraced the key moments of salvation history: from the Annunciation in Nazareth to the birth of Jesus and the arrival of the Magi, who offered the Child gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

With beautifully prepared costumes, simple and expressive dialogue, and the heartfelt presence of those portraying the biblical figures, the performance became a living icon of the joy and wonder of Christmas.
