Second Summer Camp at Beit Noah, Tabgha

Set on the peaceful shores of the Sea of Galilee, Tabgha offered the perfect setting for this journey of faith. The programme combined prayer, workshops, outdoor activities, games, swimming, and moments of quiet reflection, allowing each participant to experience both joy and spiritual growth.

One of the highlights of the camp was the pilgrimage to Capernaum. Divided into smaller groups, the participants walked the ancient pathway with fr. Roman and Gabriel, beginning the morning with prayer before visiting the place where Jesus lived, taught, and called many of His first disciples. Sharing breakfast together after the walk made this experience even more meaningful, reminding everyone that faith is lived not only in prayer but also in simple moments of community.

Throughout the camp, fr. Igino, fr. Roman, Danielle and the Youth Ministry Team led inspiring workshops on the lives of the disciples. Each group was invited to discover one disciple in a deeper way, exploring his personality, calling, strengths, weaknesses, and mission. These sessions encouraged the young people to recognize that Jesus calls ordinary people and continues to call each one of us today.

The programme also included a workshop focusing on courage and personal safety, inviting the participants to reflect on making wise choices while remaining faithful to Christ in everyday life.

Faith and fun naturally went hand in hand. The swimming pool became a place of relaxation and friendship, while the Treasure Hunt, group activities, and evening bonfire created countless moments of laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. A movie evening focusing on Jesus and His disciples helped deepen the camp's theme, while worship songs led by fr. Igino around the bonfire offered a beautiful opportunity to praise God together beneath the Galilee sky.

A particularly special part of the Kaytanah was celebrating Holy Mass together, in the very region where Jesus carried out much of His public ministry. The liturgies, celebrated by fr. Piotr, together with the daily morning and night prayers led by fr. Igino and fr. Roman, gave rhythm and meaning to each day of the camp.

The kitchen team, with Monika, DJ, Rodney prepared delicious meals throughout the week, shared around the table, strengthened not only our bodies but also our sense of family and belonging. Every participant contributed through simple acts of service, such as helping with washing dishes and caring for the shared spaces, reminding us that discipleship is also expressed through serving one another.

As the Keitanah came to an end, we gathered for a final blessing in Tabgha Church before returning home. Everyone left Tabgha with grateful hearts, new friendships, joyful memories, and a renewed desire to continue walking in the footsteps of Jesus in our daily lives.

We thank fr. Igino, fr. Roman, fr. Piotr, Danielle, Gabriel, the Youth Ministry Team, Monika, DJ, Rodney who made these four days possible. May the seeds planted during this journey continue to grow in the hearts of our young people as they follow Christ with faith, courage, and hope.
