Beginning of Passover holiday
Today, Wednesday, April 13, 2016, is the first day of the Pessah (Passover) holiday and that means a lot more children at the Vicariate in Jerusalem.
Pessah holidays are a time when parents need to find ways to care for their children and at this time the Saint James Vicariate welcomes tens of children for the entire day when their parents, migrant workers and asylum seekers, are at work.
On the first day of the school holidays, over fifty children came to the Vicariate, about twenty babies and about thirty school age children. In order to help with the extra activities, two young women from the Hebrew speaking communities of Nazareth and Tiberias, Hadas and Maya, and Father Jose Kumar, from the Shef’amr community of the priests of Betharam, came to help.
