Karol - the man who became Pope
The 2005 movie, "Karol: A man who became Pope", presented the life of Karol Wojtyla, later known as Pope John Paul II. The film is particular notable for the central role of the suffering of the Jews in Poland during the Shoah in the vocation of Karol Wojtyla to the priesthood.
The film (a Polish-Italian-French-German-Canadian joint venture) was directed by Giacomo Battiato.
Piotr Adamczyk played Karol Wojtyla.
