Summer Party at the Jerusalem Community
This year, as in previous years, the Jerusalem community held the Summer Party. We celebrated the Lord’s Supper and prayed for an end to this terrible war. During the event, with almost the entire community present, I asked two newlywed couples, who married in June and July, to share their progress. Omri and Federica, Dima and Aviv shared their joy of being together and thanked the community for the warm welcome and support over the years.
After the Mass, we moved to the courtyard for festive refreshments and opened free game stations where everyone could play freely. It was wonderful to see people of different ages and backgrounds enjoying themselves like children for a moment.
As the community shepherd, I personally support play as an important tool for building the community as an organic body of diverse people.
We thank God for a pleasant and relaxing evening, especially during such a difficult time.
