Tuesday night movie: James in Jerusalem

The movie “James’ Journey To Jerusalem” attracted a record audience during the summer cinema. The number of viewers in the Jerusalem kehilla garden last Tuesday reached 21 persons. This result may be hard to beat for next week’s “Aviva, My Love”. Summer Cinema takes place every Tuesday, at 8:15.pm.

Wednesday night: Saint Thomas Party

The feast of one of the Apostles was a nice occasion to meet. After the Eucharist the members of the Jerusalem kehilla spent some time partying in the back yard. Barbeque, sangria and dancing were the main attractions of the evening. A group of young people that regularly meet on Wednesdays to learn folks dance taught the others some good moves. Many persons brought something to eat or drink. A few kilograms of barbecued sausages were consumed. The celebration lasted till the late hours of the night, resulting in some difficulties with waking up for morning prayers for a few members of the community. Thanks a lot to all who helped to organize the party and to all participants. Special thanks to Erez who was the grill master.

Monthly Eucharist in the Church of the Resurrection (Holy Sepulcher)

Eleven persons from the Jerusalem kehilla participated in the monthly Eucharist in the tomb of  Jesus (in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher). As always, the Mass was offered with the intentions  of those who came. The date and hour of the Mass in the Holy Sepulcher in the month of August  will be made known soon.
