The Interfaith Beit-Midrash Resumes Its Sessions

On Wednesday (15.11), after a prolonged break, the interfaith study session delving into the Book of Psalms reconvened.

Approximately 30 individuals gathered at the Yosef HaTzadik meeting room in the Jerusalem Kehila to explore chapters 4-5. Against the backdrop of current security concerns and the ongoing war since October 7, the meeting unfolded in a warm and intimate atmosphere. Participants shared a common desire to unite and illuminate the burdens of their hearts.

Given the circumstances, the choice of studying Psalms chapters 4-5 was particularly fitting, as both express the essential need to trust in God and entrust our concerns into His hands. New friends, representing both the Christian and Jewish communities, joined us this time.

The session began with the uplifting song, "For the sake of Zion, I will not hesitate," and concluded with heartfelt prayers for all those experiencing the realities of war and those anxiously awaiting the return of the abductees. As a closing note, we joined our voices in the song, "Ask for peace and pursue it" (בקש שלום ורודפהו).

Leaving the meeting, we all felt comforted and strengthened, having shared in this meaningful and spiritually enriching gathering.
