 In Jerusalem, some of the members of the community dressed up after mass for Purim.

On Purim, the Jewish feast that commemorates the victory of Queen Esther and her cousin Mordechai, over the evil Haman who sought to destroy all the Jews in the kingdom (cf. the Book of Esther in the Old Testament), it is a tradition to dress up.
