Continuing on the Way

Benedetto, seminarian, and Ronny, from the Beer Sheba parish, continue on the Way to Santiago di Compostella. They sent us a second report.

Shalom and blessings to you all,

We have concluded the second week of our walk.

Yesterday, we reached Galicia, the rainiest area in Spain. Santiago is in this province. WE expect to reach our destination in about another three days.

The experience is magnificent and very deep. We meet people with very touching stories along the way, stories of pain, suffering but also stories of great fortitude and hope.

During the moments of prayer, God gives us so much, speaks to us straight out and the daily walking moves many things in the soul.

We have learnt to value the simplest things and to make do with very little because the life of a pilgrim does not allow for anything that is not absolutely necessary.

In our daily prayer we bring all of you before the Lord: the kehilla, the priests, the families, the children, and we hope you are all well.

We, for our part, are happy despite the daily difficulties including walking under heavy rain for the past two days.

In union of prayer as we push on with our walk.

Ronny and Benny
