Farewell of Monika Faes in Austria


The Vicar of St. James (Fr. Piotr) participated in the official farewell of Ms. Monika Faes in Schladming (Austria).


On Sunday (10.03) in a beautiful, beloved by tourists and ski-lovers city of Schladming, in Austria took place an official ceremony of farewell of Ms. Monika Faes. From April Ms. Faes will work for St. James Vicariate as a Civil Peace Service worker of Agiamondo organization. The beloved teacher of French language and religion, activist for the refugees' rights, involved member of the Evangelic Church spent more than thirty years in Schladming. She will be now the coordinator of the children and youth pastoral ministry in St. James in Jerusalem.

Many friends and coworkers as well as students came to wish Ms. Faes all the best on her new way. With a lot of emotions people expressed their gratefulness for her work and life in Austria.

Patriarchal Vicar of St. James, Fr. Piotr participated in the event. He introduced the Vicariate and explained the new role of Ms. Faes in Israel. Answering the questions he expressed his hopes for the future of the children and youth pastoral ministry of St. James with the new coordinator.
