Priests of St. James Pray in Bethlehem

On Friday (22.12) before Christmas all the priests of St. James Vicariate gathered in the Basilica of Nativity in Bethlehem in order to pray for the Hebrew Speaking faithful and ask for the gift of Peace.

A few days before Christmas, the priests of St. James Vicariate (Fr. Apo, Fr. Roman, Fr. Benny, Fr. Andrej, Fr. Igino, Fr. Tiago, Fr. Michal) joined the Vicar (Fr. Piotr) and deacon Ruben for a special pilgrimage to Bethlehem. They prayed together for Peace in the sacred places where Jesus was born: the Grotto of Nativity and the Chapel of Manger. They also celebrated the Holy Mass in the Grotto of St. Jerome, where the Vicar (Fr. Piotr) delivered a homily about the hope that Christmas brings, even in times of war and fear. The priests shared their personal reflections on the meaning of Christmas in their lives. After the Angelus prayer, that they had in front of the Chapel of Baby Jesus, they discussed their plans for the upcoming feast during a festive lunch at Casa Nova, where they received small Christmas gifts.
