Friends of St. James Meet in Paris

Last Friday (November 14th) more than one hundred people gathered in the parish hall of Notre Dame of the Champs in Paris for a meeting with fr. Piotr, the Vicar of St. James.

The meeting was organized by the Friends of St. James in France. Fr. Piotr spoke about the current situation in Israel as the context for pastoral work. The Youth Festival, Yom HaKehilot, and the children’s camps (Kaytanot) were presented as the most recent major events of the Vicariate.

We are grateful to Christine and Fr. Vernet for organizing the event, as well as to the Parish of Our Lady of the Champs (Fr. Vincent and Fr. Camille) for hosting it. Special thanks to Fr. Charles-Antoine for the translation. We also thank Fr. Philippe and Fr. Francis from St. Séverine Parish for welcoming the Vicar.

At the end, Fr. Piotr answered participants’ questions and invited everyone to join the official Friends of St. James. This association serves as an umbrella for all who wish to support the local Hebrew-speaking Christians in Israel. A monthly donation of just €10 makes a significant difference. By joining, you can stay connected with the Vicariate and support its pastoral and interreligious initiatives.
