On Saturday the 5th of December, the Hebrew speaking parish community of Tiberias celebrated their “Shabbat kehilatit” (Saturday community day) with a special visitor. During the time of agape after Mass, a loud knock was heard on the door followed by the ringing of bells and a very distinguished guest appeared.

The surprised crowd was compelled to ask him who he was. It soon became clear that he brought gifts and the light of the world to share with all. December 6 is the feast of Saint Nicholas of Bari, so on the very eve of his feast we too were able to benefit from his generosity and together receive the light of truth and love that will guide us to the birth of the Godchild in the manger.

Happy feast to all!
