Forty members of the Haifa community joyfully celebrated the Sunday liturgy celebrated by Father Pierbattista and concelebrated by Father David SJ, responsible for the Haifa community and Father Gregor, who assists with the Russian and Polish speaking faithful. All the various groups that make up the Haifa community came together around the Vicar, Hebrew-speakers, Polish and Russian speakers as well as Arab friends.

As every Saturday, the liturgy was preceded by a weekly study of the Sunday readings, always a lively and enthusiastic discussion, this time made all the more so by the presence of Father Pierbattista.

The liturgy was animated by Haifa's very own Miriam, whose beautiful voice and guitar make each and every Eucharist a real celebration. In his homily, Father Pierbattista reminded the community of the importance of listening to the Word of God and coming together around the Lord's Table in unity.

After the Eucharistic celebration, the assembly was invited to participate in a meal together allowing a number of members to continue conversations with Father Pierbattista and tell him about life in the Haifa kehilla.
