Jerusalem kehilla at the Greek Catholics

On the fourth Sunday of Lent, March 15, 2015, a few of the members of the Jerusalem kehilla participated in the Eucharist celebrated in the Greek Catholic Patriarchate of Jerusalem. Archbishop Yusuf Jules Zreyi together with the priest of the community, Father Elie Nammour, warmly welcomed us and we enjoyed the unique beauty of the Greek Catholic liturgy.
This visit is part of a year long program in the Jerusalem kehilla during which the intention is to visit various communities in the Holy City in order to strengthen fraternal rel;ations between us and the other Christians belonging to the one Church of Christ. In the mass that evening in the Hebrew speaking community, we carried our Greek Catholic brothers in prayer.
Footnote: At the same time, Father David concelebrated mass with the Greek Catholics in the Western Galilee village of Mi’iliyah, alongside a newly ordained priest, Father Ibrahim Shoufani, who had been one of his student.
