Ulma Family: Memorial Evening in Beer Sheva
Joseph and Victoria Ulma had previously been honored with the title "Righteous Among the Nations." On October 10th, the Catholic Church officially recognized the sanctity of Joseph, Victoria, and their children, declaring them martyrs. The Embassy of Poland initiated a beautiful endeavor to share the Ulma family's history with Hebrew-speaking Catholic communities.
The people of the Beer Sheva community were very happy to receive Mrs. Maria York's visit and to learn the example of the Ulma family. Following the presentation, we gathered for refreshments and enjoyed kraftka, an authentic Polish cake from the region where the Ulma family once lived. This treat was prepared by two Polish volunteers who share a connection to the Ulma family's homeland.
