"Praise and bless my Lord, thank him and serve him with much humility"

Thanksgiving for the summer in Saint Rachel Center

Praise, bless and thank are the words that come from our heart at the end of this summer spent at Saint Rachel Center. A summer perhaps more difficult and tiring than other summers, due to the lack of volunteers, but for this very reason it was even richer in graces and gifts bestowed by the Lord through the hands and ideas of many caring and attentive friends.

Praised are you my Lord for all the children who came to play and spend time with us,

Praised are you my Lord for the families who trusted us,

Praised are you my Lord for the seminarians, for the religious, men and women, who helped us and spent time with us,

Praised are you my Lord for the time spent together, the games, the prayers and the activities,

Praised are you my Lord for the strength you have given us and because you kept us away from all danger in these two months.

Praised are you my Lord particularly for our friend Miriam Kobnar who with tireless patience allowed us to visit the Science Museum, the Botanical Garden and the Ornithological Observatory; she introduced us to a fascinating employee of the Zoo who knows, loves and respects her animals so much that she could talk to them and comunicate wonder and interest to our children.

Most High, Almighty, Good Lord, yours are the praises, the glory, the honor and every blessing for all what we have lived and received in this summer time. Keep everything you have sown in the hearts and lives of your little ones and make it grow according to your will.
