Days of Formation for the Babies’ Staff at St. Rachel Center

Taking advantage of the closure before starting a new year, the Direction of St. Rachel Center has provided to the working staff a week of formation and study together. Thanks to the great help of Sima from Jerusalem Municipality we enjoyed some sessions that have profoundly improved our skills in playing our roles.

Ytzhak from the organization called Olam harefua taught us the basic techniques of first aid. His two sessions helped us better understand what to do in case of danger of death or injury.

Noga in her two sessions shared with us from her long experience how to lead musical activities with young children.

Tami, from the Beterem organization, showed us the dangers that cause most of the injuries to children nowadays, and how to prevent them.

Michal, from the Social Services of the municipality came together with our friend Idith, for an informal and friendly talk, in order to make us more aware of the rights of every child in Israel and establish a good cooperation between the authorities and our Center.

On the last day the staff held a long staff meeting in which the written regulations of St. Rachel’s have been studied together and explained by the direct supervisor.

We are very grateful for these days together and we wish a blessed new beginning in September.
