Easter Camp 2022

Every year, the week after Easter, a summer camp called in Hebrew: "kaytana" is held for kids and young people.

By Ella and Maria.

This year the camp was held in Neve Shalom, a village located in the center of the country, near Jerusalem with a guest house, a hotel, a school, a pool, a library, a spiritual center, a cemetery.

This place is full of peace and tranquility for the people who come to stay here, not to mention the amazing and green landscape that surrounds the place.

During the summer camp we rehearsed for a musical on the subject of Ruth. Two years ago the youth group flew to Austria and started working on this play which tells about the book of Ruth, they auditioned for their role, learned lyrics, developed their singing voice, demonstrated dance skills and in addition all met Austrian teenagers and the place where they stayed, called KiSi.

With great respect and hard work, they performed the play three times: in Austria and also twice here in Israel in front of their parents and the general public.

Today we are rehearsing for the play Ruth, during our four days here we are doing auditions, learning the dances of the play, developing the voice in singing just like the youth before us did. This year for the camp three instructors from Austria joined us and helped us prepare for the play. We hope and look forward to picking up a spectacular spectacle that we will present in a few months.

Moreover, in the summer camp we go out to connect people from different cities, we work together on projects, study together, pray together, have experiences, etc.

In order to put the play together, we were divided into different groups, each with a role - a photography group, dance, food, play, encouragement, and we all take part in something and that is what unites us in the end - the teamwork.

We would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts our instructors without whom none of this would have happened.

Thank you very much - Danielle, Katrin, Johanna, Monica, Habib, fr. Apolinary, fr. Benny, fr. Tiago, Igino.

We would like to thank in addition to the guides who came to us from Austria in particular - Simon, Sarah, Magda.

And of course, how is it possible without much thanks to a group of teenagers who took a part in our preparation for the musical - Justin, Jeremy, Gin, Jessa, CJ, Rachel, Joshua.

Special thanks to Kirche in Not for their support of this project.
