Since1953, Yad VaShem in Jerusalem is recognized as a memorial and museum of the Shoah. As of 1993, the School for the Teaching of the Shoah has developed an original and inter-disciplinary pedagogy there which focuses on human beings and not only on historical processes. This method seeks to make the transmission of the memory of the Shoah an education in responsibility and peace. The School proposes workshops in different languages for teachers and educators.

This workshop is the second one organized for teachers in French language Catholic institutions by the International School at Yad Vashem and the National Coordination of the Barnabas Network. It includes a reflection based in Christian thought about a Christian educational project of remembering the Shoah and human responsibility.
