Daniel Rossing served as the director of the Christian communities' Department in the Israeli Ministry of Religion from 1975 to 1988. Thereafter he worked as director of the Melitz Center. In 2003, he founded the Jerusalem Center for Jewish-Christian Dialogue whose aim is to fight ignorance and prejudice and promote mutual understanding and cooperation between the Jewish majority in Israel and the Christian minorities. Daniel devoted his life to dialogue between Jews and Christians within the context of the State of Israel.

An Orthodox Jew, born into a Protestant family in the United States, Daniel was a well known and well loved personality and his death is a heavy loss for all those working for a better world in Israel and beyond her borders.

We offer condolences to Tina, his wife, and his children and grandchildren.
