Jewish Christian prayer for peace in Beer Sheba


After the evening mass on Sunday, January 1, 2017, a prayer for peace and a meeting of Jews and Christians took place in the Catholic Church of Our Father Abraham in Beer Sheba.

Rabbi Mauricio Balter from Eshel Avraham Synagogue, Rabbi Yonatan Seedof from Magen Avraham Synagogue and Father Piotr Zelazko from Our Father Abraham Parish were introduced by Roxana Golan. The founders of the Interfaith Initiative in the Negev presented various aspects of peace according to their religious points of view. The discussion was open for questions from the public and many people took the occasion to ask about specific practices of Judaism and Christianity and the relations between the two religions.
