Solemnity of St. Joseph in Haifa

On Saturday (March, 18th) in the historical church of St. Joseph at Kikar Paris in Haifa the solemn Eucharist was celebrated.

The Mass was presided by fr. Nikodemus Schnabel, Patriarchal Vicar for the Migrants and Asylum Seekers (VMAS), together with other priests (among them fr. Piotr, fr. Christian and Deacon Igino). Hebrew-speaking, Russian-speaking, Indian and Sri Lankan communities gathered together in order to pray. Fr. Karol, Carmelite father from the Monastery of Stella Maris in Haifa organized this Mass. One of the occasions was the fare-well prayer of fr. Nikodemus who was elected Abbot of his monastery and will soon leave the position of the Patriarchal Vicar for the Migrants.

After the Eucharist a shared meal in Indian, Sri-Lankan, Russian and Israeli style was served.

Thanks to all who helped to organize and participated in this event.
