Archaeologists uncover the earliest Hebrew text


A group of archaeologists from the Hebrew University claims to have discovered a city from the time of King David and in it the oldest written text in the Hebrew language.

The dig is taking place in the Elah Valley, at a place known as Khirbet Qeiyafa. The text that was found begins with the words "Al taas" (Do not) and remains to be fully deceiphered.
