Weekend for Young Adults in Ein Karem

Last weekend (September 22-23) the group of Young Adults had its spiritual retreat in the Monastery of John the Baptist in Ein Karem. Fr. Piotr guided the meeting. The group gathers the people in the age of 25-35 who are not married.

The meeting started on Friday evening and finished on Saturday afternoon. The program was mostly directed to enable personal meetings with the loving God: Adoration, spiritual exercises, lecture of chosen passages from the Gospel according to John, silent time and sharing. There was also time to rest, to play and to enjoy the great food offered by the Franciscan Casa Nova. We visited the Monastery of the Sisters of Sion where we met Sr. Regine, a legend of our Vicariate. During the pre-festive Saturday evening Mass Fr. Piotr preached about the spiritual meaning of the parable of the "good owner of the vineyard".

One of the participants wrote: "I wanted to say thank for an enriching and interesting weekend. Starting with the program which was full of questions and content for reckoning with the Lord. It is very important every time to make such a stop and fill in the Lord, the songs, the prayers, the discussions, the entertaining game that we played... and most especially the timing before Yom Kippur! Thank you for planning and doing all this, for your time and care. And it was fun with everyone who was there!!! I really enjoyed. Thanks".

Next meeting of the Young Adults Group is planned for December.
