Weekend of the Families in Tiberias

After a long time, the meeting of the families finally took place in Tiberias on Friday, 10.12.21.

The meeting was marked by double joy: the period of anticipation, just 14 days before Christmas (the house in Tiberias was full decorations and a beautiful tree at the entrance),

and also in the sign of Synod 2021 in which the members of the congregations sat thinking about how we could further improve our communities, the connection to each other, and the connection to the Church in the world .

The meeting opened with a reception, an opening conversation, a prayer and a great dinner presented by the Tiberias community.

The meeting itself gave to all who arrived his place as a believer to express his place in the Church: the place to come and see, ask questions, and create motivation to strengthen the connection with the community and communities and most importantly: to create a mutual system of trust between the believer and the Church.

On Saturday hosted by Rivka, Father Apolinary and Father Piotr, we sat in groups to talk about the church and our connection to it, and after a delicious lunch each family had their own time to travel the area, read or just take a nap and rest.

The meeting ended with the preparation of decorations for the upcoming Christmas and after Mass we all returned home tired, but happy.

We thank the Community of John the Baptist for hosting us, as well as the seminarians from Domus Galilea for taking care of the children.
