Interreligious Activities

On Thursday (September 21st) took place a meeting of the interreligious group called the Forum Tower of David. The participants met in the renewed part of the Citadel of David Museum.

On Monday (31.07) in the Synagogue of Moreshet Avraham took place a meeting to promote the 75 letters about Israeli values written by various religious leaders. Fr. Piotr presented the Christian texts.

Members of a group called "The Spirit of Galilee" visited Jerusalem. One of the evenings was dedicated for a meeting with religious leaders from the Holy city. Fr. Piotr participated in the meeting.

On June 6th the religious leaders gathered at David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem in order to follow-up the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, every 3 years, since 2003.

As every year around Jerusalem Day, the "Amen" circle organized an interreligious prayer of Jewish, Christian and Muslim believers.

An interreligious walk took place in Jerusalem on May 10th. Fr. Piotr and Fr. Roman, as well as some members of Kehilat Jerusalem participated in this event. We present two articles that appeared in the news.

Ambassador of UNESCO Artist for Peace, Guila-Clara Kessous organized a Zoom meeting in St. James Vicariate. Fr. Tiago represented SJV during the meeting.

On Wednesday (March 15th), at the Synagogue Moreshet Avraham in Jerusalem, an anniversary evening of the first nine years of Beit Midrash was held.

The Museum of Saxum organized an evening dedicated to the celebration of the Feast of Purim and the International Day of Women. Fr. Piotr was one of the lecturers.

An interreligious meeting took place on January 6th in the Museum of the Tower of David. Fr. Piotr, together with Jewish and Muslim brothers spoke about "repentance".

On January 10th, the event called "AI Ethics: An Abrahamic Commitment to the Call of Rome" was held. Monsignor Vincenzo Paglia, president of the Pontifical Academy for Life accompanied by Rabbi Eliezer Simcha Weiss and Sheikh Abdullah bin Biya signed a common document.

On Wednesday, December 21st, 2022, a ceremony of lightening of candles of Hannukah took place in Jerusalem at St. Savior Monastery of Custodia Terra Sancta.

On Tuesday, December 20th, 2022 (the second day of Hannukah Feast) Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem organized the Open Day during which a program called: "A Common Society: Between Reality and Vision" hosted an interreligious panel in which fr. Piotr from St. James Vicariate took part.

A delegation of American Muslim Women Leaders and dozens of Israeli college students participated in the panel discussion in the Academic Center Shalem College in Jerusalem. An imam, a priest and a rabbi discussed the role of faith leaders in promoting peace.

On Wednesday (October 12th) Eshel Avraham Synagogue in Beer Sheva hosted an interreligious meeting.

On Monday, March 21st, religious leaders from all horizons came together in front of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, at the Russian Compound, to pray for peace in Ukraine and to encourage Patriarch Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia, to use his influence within the Russian Orthodox Church for peacemaking.

The traditional movement in Israel invited Jews, Christians and Muslims to pray for peace.
