The Christian tradition of special songs for Christmas began in the Middle Ages. The songs helped prepare the community for Christmas joy and the tradition is to sing these songs during Advent and in the Christmas period as an expression of joy. Many songs are sung throughout the Christian world in translation.

The Christian Media Center in collaboration with the Saint James Vicariate for Hebrew Speaking Catholics in Israel has released a new film about the kehillot.

Benny, seminarian in the Saint James Vicariate, prepared a group of almost fifty children over the period of a year in order that they might receive first communion. He composed a song in preparation for the celebration.

The 1998 animated film "Prince of Egypt" is an imaginative retelling of the story of Israel's Exodus from Egypt. Many fans of this film testify that it illuminated the Biblical epic narriative. We have collected here a series of video clips from the film with the sound track in Hebrew.
