Father Pierbattista, guest of Dov Elbaum, "Receiving the Sabbath"

On Friday, May 21, 2010, just before the Sabbath, Israelis could get to know close up Father Pierbattista Pizzaballa, who was responsible for the Hebrew speaking Catholic communities in the country and continues to be the head of the Franciscans and Custos of the Holy Land. He was the guest of Dov Elbaum in his weekly program "Receiving the Sabbath", which discusses the weekly Torah reading.

Last Sabbath, Jews read the portion of "Nasa" (Numbers 4-7). Among other subjects, the portion also deals with the figure of the "nazir" (chapter 6). Father Pierbattista discussed the portion and also spoke of the theme of "nzirut" (monasticism).
