How to help
The Vicariate needs your prayers and your material support.
We are present in six different locations in Israel and, in order to develop our pastoral work, we need to build and maintain the necessary facilities – churches and community centers. The Vicariate sponsors priests, seminarians and pastoral assistants to assure the continuation of the pastoral activity.
The Vicariate has an educational mission both within the Church and within the Jewish society in Israel in order to cultivate and nurture reconciliation and understanding between the Church and the Jewish people. One of our priorities is to provide a Catholic formation for our young Hebrew-speaking members, encouraging them to find their place within Israeli society and within the Church. For this catechetical and educational mission, we translate liturgical books and other Christian material in Hebrew.
The Vicariate helps also in caring for the poor and the elderly of our communities.
Since 2011, the Vicariate has been very committed in serving the migrants and asylum seekers, particularly through: social activities (Day Care for babies, after-school program for migrant children aged 3-13, activities for the migrant youth) and catechetical activities (catechism in Hebrew from first communion to confirmation).
