Desert Flower in Jerusalem

On the 8-9 of October, enjoying the quiet atmosphere of Yom Kippur in Jerusalem the Youth group “Perah ha-midbar” gathered for and extraordinary meeting that took place in the Saint Rachel Center. About 15 participants came in order to finalize the two-years project “Salt and light”, based on the study of the 10 Commandments. On this occasion the 9th and 10th commandments were learned in the light of Scripture and Church Tradition.

Prayer, Confession, study, debates, games and walks in the empty streets marked the schedule of the two days. After a walk in the Old City and a good portion of knafe (traditional Arabic dessert) they met together in order to plan this coming year’s activities: the study of the 7 Sacraments.

Meeting was concluded by the Eucharistic celebration in the Jerusalem kehillah.
