Kaytana (Children camp) of Pessah at Beit Gemal
Grégoire reports
We had a wonderful time, filled with Easter joy, with the children during the camp (Kaytana) at Beit Jamal, hosted by the Salesians.
We were twenty or so counselors who welcomed the forty-plus children from the various Vicariate communities after the “Kehilla day”. From Sunday April 1st to Wednesday the 4th we were able to dance, play, listen to interesting catechesis, participate in short scientific experiments, and even cook.
Between the hamburgers, fries, pizzas (15 kilos of dough to prepare) and delicious deserts, it was very clear that Lent was over, and we were in the midst of the Easter Octave. The camp, aside from giving us – and especially the children – a few days of vacation, was a good occasion to continue our celebration of Easter, and to let the joy of the Resurrection shine forth!
