The Power of Pause

On the weekend of March 28–29, 2025. A Weekend of Rest and Renewal was held in Tel Aviv Jaffa for the mothers of our youth from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

14 ladies from the parishes of St. James in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem came together at Beit Immanuel in Jaffa to embrace the power of pause and the beauty of the garden of this beautiful historic place. We walked at the shores of the sea, created space for listening both to our own hearts and to the gentle whisper of God, shared quiet moments, meaningful conversation, celebrated a birthday.

Together, we reflected on Psalm 34:

“I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.”

This became a thread through our time. Reminding us of God’s nearness in every season, His tenderness in our waiting, and His peace that meets us when we slow down.

It was a weekend of beauty, sisterhood, and hope.

We return with grateful hearts and a renewed awareness that sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is pause.
