The Hebrew language returns to Vatican News

After a period of interruption - due to a thorough renewal of the Vatican News site, the Hebrew language has returned to being one of the languages in which the site publishes Church news. This initiative began in 2010, during the synod on the Catholic Church in the Middle East, which took place in Rome on October 10 - 24, 2010. Vatican Radio published then reports on the synod, in Hebrew, in cooperation with the Custody of the Holy Land and the Vicariate for the Hebrew-speaking Catholics in Israel.
As we said above, today, December 17, after a break of about two years, the Vatican News website has once again started publishing articles in Hebrew about the Pope, the Holy See and the Church around the world. We hope that the translation work will enable many Jews in Israel to access reliable information and thus establish a better understanding of the Church today, its doctrine and its contribution to the life of human society. We thank our collaborator Dimitri Ezrochi who does the translation work, and also thank the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher who help us fund this work.
