Welcome in Jerusalem to our new Patriarch Pierbattista Pizzaballa

Last night, our new Patriarch Pierbattista Pizzaballa, who has been the Apostolic Administrator of the Latin Patriarchate during the last four years, arrived to Jerusalem. We thank God for the Shepherd he gave us, and pray for him and for our beloved Church.
A few days before his appointment as Patriarch was announced, Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa was interviewed in the context of an event organized by the Knights and Dames of the Holy Sepulcher before the feast of Mary Queen of the Holy Land. In the interview, which took place on October 21st in Rome, he spoke about inter-religious dialogue, the situation in the Middle East, the path towards peace, and the involvement f the Knights and Dames in the Holy land.
