Benny, from the Vicariate community, travelled to Italy in order to defend his doctoral thesis and he passed with flying colors in the examination that took place on Monday, April 16, 2012. He wrote us a short description of the important event.

Father Gregor Pawlowski, priest in the kehilla in Jaffa since 1970, has published a new and original book in Polish, “Shoah survivor, at the Service of Christ”, written entirely in verse. The book was presented in Poland in March 2012.

In the light of the dramatic events in Syria, Father Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Custos of the Holy Places and head of the Franciscans in the Holy Land, published an emergency appeal and asked the Christians around the world to contribute to their brothers in Syria. The Hebrew speaking Catholic kehillot in Israel also responded to his call.
