Simply prayer

T.T. from the Haifa community sent us this prayer to help us prepare for the coming feast of Christmas.

In truth, let our eyes see, our hearts be glad and our souls rejoice in Your salvation.
(from the Jewish liturgy)

Our Father who art in heaven,

We are standing before you, always distracted and full of sin, stubborn and disobedient, noisy and willful. You are our light and our salvation, you are our hope and our consolation. We prostrate ourselves at Your feet, seeking Your protection, protection from ourselves. With patience and a delicate smile, You, Father, almighty and merciful, dry our childish tears, waiting for us to grow up. And once again, each year anew, the great mystery of life on earth - Yours and ours - repeats itself.

Here we are, standing before the manger that is still empty. Immersing ourselves in the mysterious moment, we wait impatiently for the resplendent light of the love manifest in the Divine Child Jesus to shine out. Every soul prays in the simplicity of the heart, "Oh Lord, give your peace to all our brothers and sisters, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists... to each and every one of Your children, wherever they live and belonging to whatever faith community. Bless them with love and prosperity. May faith, gentleness, humility, compassion, mercy, fraternity and unity reign in our hearts. Let each one glorify you in his or her own language, every language being dear to Your heart. Make all paths lead to You alone.

Oh how close is the long awaited moment of the mysterious Apparition! It is a joy to sing in our hearts "Maranatha"!

Blessed are you Lord our God, King of the universe, who has brought us to life, and let us be and brought us to this time. Amen. (from the Jewish liturgy).

Merry Christmas!
