Feast of All Saints of Jerusalem – November 8

On this day, the Church of Jerusalem remembers all the saints that lived there and gave their witness in the Holy Land.

At the beginning of November, the Universal Church remembers all the saints that have lived faithfully lives as disciples of Christ. On November 8, a special feast commemorates those saints who lived in the Holy Land. There are those who are mentioned in the Bible, Old Testament and New, beginning with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, their wives and children. There are also the saints of the early Church of Jerusalem, bishops, priests, monks and nuns, martyrs, mothers, fathers and children, who in their lives radiated the light of Christ to their neighbors. We do not know all their names but we gave thanks to God for their witness.
