Visit of the Jerusalem kehilla to the Arabic speaking parish

On Sunday morning, January 25, 2015, at the beginning of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, some members of the Jerusalem kehilla participated in the mass in the Arabic speaking Latin parish (Saint Savior). Abuna (Father) Firas, the parish priest, received the group warmly and used the occasion to explain to the parishioners present who the Hebrew speaking communities are, that they belong to the Latin rite, pray in Hebrew and hear the Word of God in Hebrew. He promised that some time in the near future, he would bring a group of parishioners to pray with us and to tell us about their community life.

This visit was our way, this year, to mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, and we want to pray for our brothers and sisters who received us so warmly, hoping to receive them some time soon under our roof.
