Franciscan Father Pietro Kaswalder passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 18, 2014.
Father Kaswalder was a professor of Biblical exegesis, archaeology and geography at the Franciscan School of Biblical Exegesis in the Old City of Jerusalem. Born in 1952 in Italy, he had spent much of his Franciscan life in Jerusalem and was a respected member of the Franciscan faculty.
