Jerusalem kehilla’s Pentecost vigil

On Saturday night, June 7, 2014, the members of the Jerusalem kehilla and some friends gathered to spend the vigil of the Feast of Pentecost in prayer.

Father Piotr Zelasko, responsible for the Jerusalem kehilla, animated the prayer that began at 22.00 and ended at midnight. After a time of silent prayer, a long series of readings interspersed with psalms was read, each one describing the work of the Holy Spirit. Those present were then able to renew their baptismal vows. Finally, a time of praise and intercession followed.

Those present prayed for the world and especially those suffering. Of course prayers were also lifted up for Pope Francis, President Peres and President Abbas as they prepare for their “invocation for peace” in the Vatican tomorrow.
