Confirmations in south Tel Aviv

At the first of five Pentecost masses celebrated in the Our Lady Woman of Valor Pastoral Center in south Tel Aviv, the sacrament of confirmation was conferred on 28 adolescents and 3 adults. The main celebrant was Father David Neuhaus, Latin Patriarchal Vicar, and the mass was celebrated in Hebrew. The 28 young people spent a whole year preparing for the ceremony. They range in age from 12 to 16, an equal number of boys and girls. They were all born in Israel to parents who are migrant workers, the majority from the Philippines. The hope is that these young people will continue the journey of faith through involvement in the life of the Pastoral Center and the youth group based there.
