The surprising invitation of President of Israel Peres and President of Palestine Abbas is for Pentecost, June 8, 2014.
During his recent pilgrimage to the Holy Land, Pope Francis invited President Mahmoud Abbas and President Shimon Peres to come to pray for peace in the Vatican. The two heads of state accepted this invitation. The prayer meeting will take place on June 8, 2014, the Sunday on which Pentecost is celebrated.
