Pope Francis leaves the Holy Land


After a whirlwind pilgrimage, lasting only three days, Pope Francis left the Holy Land on Monday evening, May 26, 2014.

Pope Francis flew out of Ben Gurion Airport, near Tel Aviv, on an El Al flight bound for Rome. The intense day he spent in Jerusalem ended with the celebration of the Eucharist with the Ordinaries of the Holy Land in the Cenacle on Mount Zion.
