Pope visits Mount Herzl and monument for victims of terrorism

On Monday, May 26, 2014, Pope Francis laid a wreath at Mount Herzl.

He was assisted by two Catholic children, Brian and Gidi, children from the migrant worker communities in Israel. Both children were born in Israel and are Hebrew speaking. After the visit to Mount Herzl, a visit demanded by Israeli protocol, Prime Minister Netanyahu asked the Pope to make a stop at the monument for the victims of terrorism.
