Patriarch calls for prayers for rain

For the second time this season, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Fouad Twal, called the parishes in the Holy Land to pray for rain. In a letter dated February 5, 2014, the Latin Patriarch called on the parishes in the Holy Land to pray for rain on Sunday, February 9, 2014. Calling for prayer and repentance, the Patriarch called attention to the threat of severe drought in the light of the lack of rain. He also recommended the faithful to meditate on certain passages of Scripture like: 1Kings 18:41-45, Psalms 19, 33, 65, 104 and Matthew 6:25-34.
