Week of Prayer for Christian Unity - 2014

Each year, the various Churches pray for Christian Unity. In the Holy Land, this week takes place after Armenian Christmas and this year will be held from Saturday, January 25 until Sunday, February 2.

The theme of the Week of Prayer for 2014 based on the citation: “Has Christ been divided?” (1 Corinthians 1:1-17), was prepared in Canada, a country that is marked by diversity in language, culture, and even climate. Canada also embodies diversity in the expression of Christian faith. Paul’s letter addresses us within our diversity and invites us to recognize that as Church in our particular places we are not to be isolated or to act against each other, but rather to recognize our interconnection with all who call on the name of the Lord.
